Arwa Mineral Water Company

Arwa is one of the pioneering mineral-water companies in the Republic of Yemen, established on 16 May 1978 as a Yemeni limited company.

A number of geological studies were carried out across several regions of the country, with the participation of specialised international companies. Those studies identified the Shamlan area as the most suitable location for the project.

Earlier research proved that Shamlan stands apart from other regions because it holds highly pure natural mineral water meeting high international standards of quality and purity.

Specialised technicians carry out regular checks by taking random samples for analysis in a laboratory equipped with sophisticated apparatus. Further samples are sent regularly to international laboratories and scientific centres, which consistently certify the high quality and purity of Shamlan water.

The company has twice been awarded the European Grand Prize for Quality — in Madrid in 1988 and in Geneva in 1998 — and guarantees its people comprehensive safety, medical and insurance cover alongside ongoing training.
