Yemen Company for Industry and Commerce

Founded in 1970, the Yemen Company for Industry and Commerce (YCIC) is the first private industrial company in Yemen, established with the objective of manufacturing products that meet community needs and create job opportunities.

Production started on 30 September 1971 with two production lines for biscuits and confectionery — the company began with 120 workers and an annual production capacity of 8,500 tons.

Through several stages of development since, YCIC has grown into one of the largest establishments in the food industry in the Middle East.
