Yemen Co. for Flour Mills & Silos (Aden)

Yemen Co. for Flour Mills & Silos produces and markets wheat flour and allied products as part of the pioneering Hayel Saeed Anam Group. The company was established in 1997 to provide the local population with good-quality wheat flour at an affordable price.

Built to the latest international specification, it began production in 2000 with two lines from the leading Swiss manufacturer Bühler AG — an overall capacity of 1,500 tons per day and storage for 60,000 tons. It quickly established a presence in Yemeni and international markets, and ever-growing demand prompted further expansion.

Two major expansions have since raised production capacity to 3,750 tons per day and storage to 170,000 tons — making it the biggest flour mill in the Republic of Yemen. The most modern equipment available to the industry, together with a highly skilled and continuously trained workforce, has helped the company make its mark internationally.
